My Work

Below, you’ll find a few examples of projects I have worked on or am currently working on. You can find a link to all of my work here.

Toronto Metropolitan University - Television & Video Production

In June of 2022, I graduated from Toronto Metropolitan University’s (formerly Ryerson University) Media Production Program. In that time, I have completed a concentration in Television and Video, as well as a minor in Music & Culture. My strongest skill is in post production, specifically in video editing, though I also have experience in multi-camera production and writing. I am comfortable with using programs such as Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve to edit and color correct video footage.

Below, you can find a project I worked on during my second year of university. The task was to take footage from a short film titled “Bingo Night,” and edit a trailer for it. This involved properly cutting shots, choosing fitting music at appropriate volume levels, and color correcting the footage so that each shot matched.

Passionate Living on WBBZ-TV - Video Editor/Social Media Manager

I began working with WBBZ-TV as a video editor in February of 2022. Specifically, I worked on Passionate Living, a television program that hones in on individuals with burning passions and how they impact their communities for the better. In May of the same year, after three months of working remotely from Toronto with the team, I began working with Passionate Living in person. During this time, my primary role was helping to assemble the show as a video editor, and I got incredibly strong with establishing a compelling story with the footage given to me.

I also assisted in producing short-form content for the show’s promotion via social media, learning how to use Buffer to post at the best times for user engagement across multiple platforms simultaneously.

As of recently, my largest tasks on the Passionate Living team have been to update titles, descriptions, and thumbnails for the show’s YouTube channel. I consider myself a strong writer, and am confident in my ability to create cohesive descriptions and titles.

Toronto MetRobotics - Video Editor/Video Editing Co-Lead

During my time at TMU, I worked closely with Toronto MetRobotics (formerly Ryerson Rams Robotics or R3). I started on the team in early 2021 as a Video Editor, editing a portion of their System Acceptance Review (SAR) for the University Rover Competition, as well as a few interviews from their Representation in Robotics interview series. In July of 2021, I took the position of Co-Lead for the video editing branch of the team, where I assigned tasks to members of the video editing team and provided those members with constructive feedback on their work. You can find two projects I worked on with R3 below.

Note: For the URC SAR video submission, editing was split up between several members of the team. I edited the section from 1:45 to 2:18.

REALMS: Beyond The Door - Writer

As my fourth-year thesis project, I joined a project called “REALMS: Beyond The Door,” a third-person fantasy game about self discovery. I joined the project as a writer, and helped develop the world and general plot of the game in the form of a Game Design Document. I also assisted with composing early music themes for the game. I am still a member of this team, and you can find more information regarding “REALMS: Beyond The Door” here.

Cobourg Media - Videography/Video Editing

I have assisted on several projects completed by Cobourg Media, an organization that covers local news and stories for the town of Cobourg, Ontario. In October of 2020, I acted as a camera operator for their unveiling of a statue for Fern Blodgett Sunde, a Cobourg local and the first female wireless radio operator in World War II. Later, in August of 2021, Cobourg Media would host “Northumberland Rocks Back,” a benefit concert supporting the Northumberland United Way COVID-19 Community Relief Fund. For this project, it was my job to edit videos of messages from companies sponsoring the event. This involved picking the best pieces of footage to use, appropriate music, and color correcting each shot in a way that matched with the rest of the video. You can find the link to both the Fern Blodgett Sunde Commemorative Statue unveiling and an advertisement I edited for Northumberland Rocks Back below.

Concert Band Association of Ryerson - President

I have been a member of the Concert Band Association of Ryerson (CBAR) for three years now, beginning in my first year. As President, it’s my job to communicate with executive members to organize rehearsals, recruit members, and host performances on campus. While it was difficult to gather and play together due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we still communicate over Slack and try to organize virtual events when possible.

Twitch/YouTube - Content Creator

I am an affiliated streamer on Twitch, which I have been livestreaming on for over two years. My time on Twitch has given me the opportunity to grow in various ways; thanks to Twitch, I am incredibly self confident with hosting a safe space for live entertainment and grown familiar with broadcasting software such as OBS Studio. On top of that, through Twitch, I have organized multiple charity events, in which all money raised during the stream is donated straight to a nonprofit organization. Over two years, my community and I have raised over $1500 for various organizations and causes, such as The Pride Center of Western New York, The Trevor Project, and The Jed Foundation.

In addition, I edit videos for my personal YouTube channel. This has been an incredible opportunity for me to grow as both a person and a video editor. You can find my YouTube channel here, as well as some of my most proud work below.

Prophecy, But We’re Idiots

This is one of the earlier videos on my channel, but one I’m still incredibly proud of to this day. I made sure to spend a lot of time editing this one until it was to my standards, and it really motivated me to keep putting content out.

Eyes Up: A Retrospective Look Into My History With Destiny 2

This was my first time delving into the world of video essay content, but I’m proud with how it ultimately came out. I probably spent two or three months writing and reworking the script until it was in a place I was happy with.

A Day At the Amusement Park

Similarly to “Eyes Up” being my first stab at video essays, this one is my first try with a vlog-style video, and I’m incredibly proud with the final product. I feel I did a good job creating an entertaining story for the viewer, and that my edit helps to enhance the comical nature of the trip.
